Privacy Policy

Last updated September 2026. This page explains what information AHPMUN collects and what we do with it.

Who this applies to

American Heritage Plantation Model United Nations (AHPMUN) is an independent, student-run high school Model UN conference held at American Heritage School in Plantation, FL. This policy covers the AHPMUN website (ahpmun.org), the AHPMUN committee portal and payment pages (https://backend.ahpmun.org), and the position paper submission form (https://backend.ahpmun.org/submit). AHPMUN is organized by student volunteers, not by American Heritage School as a legal entity.

What we collect

Contact form. The name, email address, and message you enter on /contact. This form is relayed by a third-party service, formsubmit.co, directly to a member of the Secretariat by email. AHPMUN does not otherwise store contact form submissions.

Registration and payment. Registering or paying a conference fee through the committee portal collects contact name, email, phone number, school (for delegation registrations), grade (for American Heritage delegate registrations), and delegate count. Payment itself is processed by Stripe; AHPMUN never receives or stores your card number. This information is stored in a database used by AHPMUN staff to confirm registrations and issue receipts.

Position paper submissions. Files and any accompanying details you submit through the position paper submission form, used only to review and distribute papers to the relevant committee chairs.

Interest and registration forms. The delegate and delegation interest forms linked from /registration are hosted on Google Forms. Information you submit there is collected by Google and governed by Google's privacy policy, in addition to this one.

Cookies

The AHPMUN website (ahpmun.org) does not use cookies, analytics, or advertising trackers of any kind. The separate committee portal at https://backend.ahpmun.org sets one necessary session cookie so signed-in staff (Secretariat, dais, check-in desk) stay logged in. That cookie is only set for staff who sign in with an account; conference delegates and attendees never log in and never receive it.

How we use and share information

We use the information above only to run the conference: confirming registrations, processing payments, assigning committees, replying to questions, and staying in touch with delegates and advisors about conference logistics. We do not sell information, and we do not share it with anyone outside the Secretariat and committee staff except the service providers described on this page (Stripe for payment processing, formsubmit.co for contact form delivery, and Google for the interest forms), each of which processes data under their own privacy policy.

Data retention and access

Registration and payment records are kept for as long as needed to run the conference and resolve any payment questions afterward. Access to this data is limited to Secretariat and committee staff who need it to do their roles.
