Ad Hoc Committee

Hey, delegates! My name is Arina, and I am one of the Secretary-Generals of AHPMUN 2026. I am a senior this year, and I am incredibly excited to chair this year's Ad Hoc Committee. Ad Hoc has always been my favorite committee format because of its creativity, unpredictability, and fast pace. It is also the type of committee I usually focus on, along with the Security Council.

I have been involved in Model UN since ninth grade and have spent most of my time competing in crisis committees. I previously served as a Crisis Manager for AHPMUN 2025 and as an Under-Secretary-General for HUDMUN 2026. I am also currently the President of my school's Model UN team after serving as Vice President last year.

Outside of MUN, I am the President of our Russian-Speaking Student Association and am extremely interested in politics, foreign affairs, public policy, and government. I have previously worked for Senator Rick Scott and on the Byron Donalds campaign, which gave me the opportunity to learn more about politics and government firsthand. I am originally from Moscow, speak Russian and French, and love learning about different cultures and global issues. In my free time, I enjoy going to the beach with my friends, reading, and watching Succession and Industry. I am also a huge fall person, it is easily my favorite season, which may or may not be a hint about this committee.

My goal is to make this committee fair, engaging, fast-paced, and completely immersive. The topic is something my friends and I are all huge fans of, so we are incredibly excited to bring it to life and share that excitement with all of you. I especially want everyone to have fun with backroom, take creative risks, and fully commit to their characters and personal arcs. Ad Hoc will definitely have plenty of surprises to keep you on your toes, but do not be intimidated. This committee is meant to be challenging, unpredictable, and, most importantly, a lot of fun. I cannot wait to see what each of you brings to the experience!

Hello, delegates! My name is Isabella Guenni, and I am excited to chair this year's Ad Hoc Committee. I have participated in Model UN throughout high school, and it has become one of the activities that has challenged and shaped me the most. I currently serve as Director of Logistics on my school's Executive Board, where I help organize conferences, coordinate behind-the-scenes operations, and create the best possible experience for delegates. Over the years, I have grown to love fast-paced committees that require delegates to think creatively, adapt under pressure, and embrace the unexpected, which is exactly why Ad Hoc is one of my favorite committee formats.

Outside of MUN, I participate in weightlifting and several community service organizations. I enjoy following current events, international relations, and global politics, especially when those issues translate into committee debate. When I am not preparing for conferences, I am usually at the gym, traveling, reading, or spending time with friends and family.

My goal as chair is to create a committee that is engaging, fair, and full of unexpected twists. Ad Hoc rewards creativity, quick thinking, and thoughtful risk-taking, so do not be afraid to think outside the box and have fun with your ideas. I want every delegate to leave committee feeling challenged, confident, and excited about Model UN. I cannot wait to meet you and see what you bring to committee. Hi everyone! My name is Juju Yammine and I am a senior at American Heritage. I joined the AHS MUN team last year, and I am so beyond excited to be your Crisis Manager for the Ad Hoc Committee at AHPMUN!

From the moment we started brainstorming this committee, all of the chairs and backroom members have been incredibly passionate about the topic, and I truly cannot wait for you all to experience it! Whether this is your first crisis committee or you are an experienced delegate, I am confident that this committee will be an unforgettable experience!
